Join us for the 2nd Annual S.M.A.R.T. Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10am - 2pm and Sunday, Nov. 13 from 1-3pm in the Philadelphia Church foyer.
You will find creative hand-made items such as knitted scarfs, hats, gloves and socks to magnets, paintings, candles, jewelry, decorative holiday pillows, children's holiday aprons and much more. Baked goods will also be for sale along with homemade jams and jellies! YUM!
All proceeds will to towards the single mothers program at S.M.A.R.T. so please invite your friends and come down to support this wonderful program and get yourself some great gifts for the upcoming holidays!
What We Do
Mission Statement: S.M.A.R.T. stands for
"Single Mothers Acquiring Resources & Training."
This is a collaborative community initiative in King County, WA
designed to assist single mothers with the support they need to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Support is currently provided
through our FREE Clothing Bank and our Single Mom's Network;
which provides spiritual support, mentoring, empowerment
skills and lifelong learning classes. Future programs
will incorporate FREE Temporary Housing as well as
educational assistance such as GED tutoring.
We will update this website as items above are starting.
Single mothers are the most economically challenged demographic of our society. The S.M.A.R.T. program's mission is to help single mothers make wise and informed decisions going forward regardless of the circumstances that have led them to their challenges.

S.M.A.R.T. Networking
Are you a Single Mom or do you know one? The S.M.A.R.T. Ministry hosts a Single Mom’s Network and we invite you to join us every 3rd Thursday of the Month from 6:30 - 8pm at the S.M.A.R.T. Building at 9740 8th Ave. NW, Seattle, WA.
Network Meetings will begin again this Thursday, September 22 at 6:30pm! Come join us!

S.M.A.R.T. FREE Clothing
The S.M.A.R.T. clothing bank is open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00am-2:00pm. Donated items are available for mothers & their children for free once per month. Walk-ins welcome!

On Saturday, January 10, 2009, we held our kick-off event that hosted approx. 60 mothers and children to let them know about this new ministry. We had a wonderful luncheon, entertainment by Tim Schafer - the Yo-Yo Man, face-painting, spin art and balloon making. Gifts were given to each mother and child provided by Philadelphia Church and Source Salon & Spa in Ballard, WA. Lastly, Sean Hoyt Photography donated his services and took pictures of each mother and her children. What a great event!
